The City Government of San Fernando prepares for the arrival of foreign tourists who are scheduled to visit the City on December in time for the Giant Lantern Festival (GLF).

The Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Pampanga Chapter in coordination with DILG Pampanga conducted the PCL Provincial Federation Council elections on July 24, 2013 held at the Mini Convention Center, Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The PCL National Officials, headed by National President Alma Moreno, National Executive Vice President Ramon G. Tabor, and National Secretary General Maybelyn DC Fernandez, also attended the activity.

The new set of Local Officials in the City of San Fernando and 3rd District Congressman of Pampanga for CY 2013-2016 took their Oath of Office on June 30, 2013, 12:00 NN at the Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The ceremony, administered by Regional Executive Trial Court Edgar Chua was graced by Senator Grace Poe.
