On July 4, 2024, a significant milestone in the history of the Tarlac Provincial Capitol was held earlier today with the relocation of its historical marker and the signing of a historic agreement. The event, entitled “Paghawi ng Tabing sa Panandang Kasaysayan,” was attended by Honorable Governor Susan A. Yap, Vice Governor Atty. Carlito S. David, Board Member Jude Joseph David, Board Member Joy Gilbert Lamorena, and a distinguished group of guests such as Dir. Carminda Arevalo and Mr. Alvin Alcid from the National Historical Commission, Dir. Armi V. Bactad, CESO V from the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Tarlac, Provincial Director Miguel Guzman from the Tarlac Police Provincial Office, and officials and personnel from the Provincial Government and other esteemed National Government Agencies.
The relocated historical marker is a testament to the Province’s commitment to preserving its rich heritage and cultural significance. The event marks the culmination of bringing back the Capitol Building’s former glory, ensuring its continued standing as a symbol of Tarlac's history and identity for generations to come.
Ultimately, the historical marker relocation and milestone signing ceremony is a significant event that highlighted the importance of preserving historical landmarks in the culture-rich Tarlac Province.
Noong ika-26 ng Hunyo, taong kasalukuyan, pinasinayaan ang bagong Earthquake Early Warning System sa Bayan ng Pura. Ang proyektong ito, na nagmula sa P1,800,000.00 na pondo na natanggap ng lokal na pamahalaan bilang kanilang FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) - Incentive Fund, ay isang malaking hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas na komunidad.
Sa pamumuno ni Mayor John Paul M. Balmores, ang proyektong ito ay naglalayong mapadali at mapalawak ang pag-alerto at pagresponde sa mga residente sakaling makaranas ng lindol o iba pang sakuna. Bukod dito, magagamit rin ang sistema upang kumalap ng mahahalagang datos para sa pag-aaral ng mga lindol, na magbibigay ng mas malalim na kaalaman at kahandaan.
Dinaluhan ang inagurasyon ng mga kinatawan mula sa DILG Region III, kasama si Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO V, at ng DILG Tarlac kasama si Cluster Leader Dennis A. Daquiz. Kasama rin sa mahalagang aktibidad na ito ang masisipag na lokal na opisyal at mga Department Heads ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Pura.
Ang bagong Earthquake Early Warning System ay simbolo ng pagkakaisa at pagsusumikap tungo sa inaasam na progreso ng Bayan ng Pura. Sa kanilang ika-anim na parangal mula sa SGLG, patunay ito na ang Pura, Tarlac ay ehemplo ng maayos at tapat na pamamahala, na may malasakit at dedikasyon sa kanilang mga nasasakupan.
Noong ika-2 ng Hulyo, pormal na pinasinayaan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Santa Ignacia ang proyektong kalsada sa ilalim ng kanilang FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) - Incentive Fund Project ng Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal. Ang proyektong ito ay resulta ng mahusay at tapat na pamamahala sa bayan, sa pangunguna ni Punongbayan Nora T. Modomo.
Ang bagong kalsada sa Barangay Timmaguab, na pinondohan mula sa P1,800,000.00 na gantimpala ng lokal na pamahalaan sa SGLG, ay inaasahang magdudulot ng malaking benepisyo sa mga residente. Ang 185 metrong haba ng kalsada ay naglalayong magbigay ng maayos na access sa mga pangunahing serbisyo, lalo na sa sektor ng agrikultura.
Umaasa ang lokal na pamahalaan na ang proyektong ito ay magsisilbing simbolo ng tagumpay para sa bayan ng Santa Ignacia.
Ang matagumpay na inagurasyon ay pinangunahan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Santa Ignacia, kasama ang DILG Tarlac sa pangunguna ni Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, at ng Locally Funded Projects Team.
In a continued effort to strengthen the Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) in Tarlac, the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Council (MSAC) convened for its 2nd Quarter 2024 meeting on June 24, 2024, which featured the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MSAC members.
The activity underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among various stakeholders to foster resilience and cooperation in local governance. LGOO II Dione Ganiban provided insights about the Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) and SIKAD initiatives, while LGOO II Elridge Barbaso discussed digital innovations that can be utilized to enhance the projects, programs, and activities to other agencies involved. MSAC Provincial Focal Person, LGOO VI Maricar Janice Perez delivered a detailed exposition on the roles and functions of MSAC, as well as the contents of the MOU.
Representatives from local government units, non-government organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector gathered to reaffirm their commitment to shared goals and collective action aimed at promoting effective governance and sustainable development in the province.
The meeting was successfully concluded by the key leaders from various sectors, led by MSAC Chairperson and DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V. Other distinguished attendees included Tarlac Provincial Police Office Provincial Director PCOL. Miguel M. Guzman, Commanding Officer of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion LTC. Ryan V.
