EARTHQUAKE SAN LUIS

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck the Province of Aurora on May 23, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

PHIVOLCS said the earthquake struck at 10:10 am with the epicenter located in San Luis, Aurora.

DILG Aurora held the 2019 SGLG Exit Conference and the 2020 SGLG Orientation last February 10, 2020 at the Governor's Conference Room, Provincial Capitol of Aurora. The SGLG is a national recognition and a flagship program of the Department that awards and incentivizes LGUs that excelled in various areas of governance.

DILG Aurora Provincial Director Atty Ofelio A Tactac Jr., CESO V graced the Opening Ceremony of Retooled Community Support Program Refresher Training for Class 1 - 20 together with the AFP Batallion Commander LTC Reandrew Rubio and PNP PD PCOL Raul C Siriban held at 91st Sinagtala Infantry Batallionon February 10, 2020.

The said activity intends to train the participating Personnel as CSP Operators in anticipation to their immersion in the Barangay

In his message, Com Andrew D Costello, Brigade Commander 7ID,keynote speaker, expressed his gratitude to PD Tactac and DILG Aurora personnel for their active involvement in the program and highlighted the importance of the program in ending communist insurgency.

National Government personnel including LGOO II Madam Cassey N. Buenaventura will serve as one of the speakers in the training.
29 barangays are targeted in the Province of Aurora for 2020.
