DILG Aurora Provincial Team Conference, March 24, 2021
Giving highlights on the Department’s approach towards a strengthened internal communication and to continue in institutionalizing the Department’s cooperation and support to the clienteles in this time of pandemic, the DILG Aurora Provincial Office, headed by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. CESO V, held the Provincial Online Team Conference for the month of March through Zoom Meetings on March 24, 2021.
Said conference was graced by the presence of DILG Region III Regional Director, Dir. Julie J. Daquioag, Ph. D., CESO III.

Some Department Heads and Representatives from the Provincial Governmet of Aurora as they prepare for the Seal of Good Local Governance 2021 validation
Following the issuance of the Implementing Rules and Regulation of RA No. 11292 or the Seal of Good Local Governance Act to institutionalize the SGLG as a performance assessment and reward framework for local government units, the DILG Aurora team is now gearing for the 2021 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) evaluation.
In preparation for the upcoming assessment, the DILG headed by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr. CESO V and LGOO II Florenz Zaira Buenconsejo collaborated with the Provincial Government of Aurora, today, February 11, 2021, as many new areas have already been included in the SGLG law, such as Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Program for Sustainable Education and Youth Development.

DILG Aurora Provincial Director, Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. CESO V, as he extends his congratulatory remark to the Municipality of Casiguran for their successful launching of the Electronic Business Permit and Licensing System, January 04, 2021.
The Municipality of Casiguran, Aurora reached a milestone as it successfully launched its eBPLS last January 4, 2021.
The Electronic Business Permit and Licensing System (eBPLS) establishes a systematic streamlined processing of business permits and licenses. It provides accurate and speedy gathering and management of information that not only makes the application and renewal of business permits and licenses easier but also gives the LGU reliable data in crafting and implementing business related regulations and policies.
The event was done thru virtual or web based conferencing and streamed on Facebook Live taking into consideration the Municipality's strict adherence to health and safety protocols discouraging public gathering. Local Officials headed by Mayor Ricardo Bitong were joined by officials from the Department of Information, Communications Technology (DICT) Region 3, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and DILG Aurora.
Mayor Ricardo Bitong, in his message, thanked the DICT, DTI and the DILG for their assistance in the establishment of the eBPLS in the Municipality and highlighted the benefits it will reap from the said system.
DILG Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. CESO V stated that the eBPLS will promote and encourage entrepreneurs to open and register their business which is vital to reinvigorate the economy suffering from the pandemic.
The eBPLS implements business processes based on RA 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Law (EODB).
DILG AURORA ADDRESSES ILLEGAL LOGGING ISSUE, CONDUCTS DILAOGUE WITH DITEKI FARMERS ASSOCIATION

Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. CESO V, as he highlights the importance of community support in fight against illegal logging activities during the Dialogue with the Diteki Famers Association, January 12, 2021, Brgy. Diteki, San Luis, Aurora.
SAN LUIS, AURORA –To address the issue on illegal logging operation as claimed by residents from Brgy. Ditek, San Luis, Aurora, a dialogue with the Diteki Farmers Association headed by Mr. Manuel Buenconsejo was initiated by the DILG Aurora along with the DENR, PNP and AFP last January 12, 2021, 10:00 in the morning.
Operations against the illegal logging in Brgy. Diteki were already intensified by virtue of an earlier meeting with the farmer’s group representative set December last year. Said meeting resulted in the confiscation of illegally cut logs and their means of transportation. Nonetheless, because of the porous environment and threats to the DENR personnel exemplified when a forest ranger manning a checkpoint was repeatedly shot, apprehending illegal loggers remains a big challenge.
