On November 15, 2024, the Municipality of Apalit, Pampanga, officially launched the PalengQR Ph Plus, a cashless payment initiative designed to provide safer and more efficient transactions for market vendors, tricycle drivers, commuters, and consumers.

Through this program, participants can now make payments using QR codes, offering an additional, secure option for settling transactions.

PalengQR Ph is a nationwide program aimed at encouraging establishments to integrate digital payment methods, helping foster a cashless economy and simplify everyday transactions.

As of November 11, 2024, 444 market vendors in Apalit have joined the PalengQR Ph Plus initiative. This statistic was shared by BSP Chairman of the Monetary Board and Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr., highlighting the growing adoption of cashless payments in the area.

The launch of PalengQR Ph Plus marks a significant milestone in Apalit’s efforts to promote financial inclusion and digital transformation.
