In preparation for the upcoming FY 2025 Functionality Assessment, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Ecija, led by Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, conducted a Provincial Orientation for the Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) and the Local Council for the Protection of Children(LCPC) held on February 26, 2025 via Zoom Cloud Application. The said activity was participated in by key stakeholders, including members of the LCAT-VAWC and LCPC. As presented by the Social Protection Team of DILG Nueva Ecija, the participants were provided with detailed guidance on the roles and responsibilities of committee/council members as well as key performance indicators and timeline of the FY 2025 LCAT-VAWC and LCPC audit. The orientation sought to further enhance the functionality of both the LCAT-VAWC and LCPC, ensuring that these committees/councils are fully equipped to effectively address issues related to the protection of women and children. This initiative is part of DILG Nueva Ecija’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the capacity of local governments in fulfilling their mandates and ensuring the safety and welfare of vulnerable population at the local level.
