The Department of the Interior and Local Government supports the Civil Service Commission's information dissemination drive on the 2017 Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) Announcement.


Through CSC Memorandum Circular No. 4, s. 2017, the qualifying examination for the position of Foreign Service Officer (FSO) will be held on May 21, 2017.
Applications should be submitted in person at any Regional Consular Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), or Philippine embassies and consulates abroad until March 29; or at the DFA-Board of Foreign Service Examinations, Pasay City until April 12. Admission fee is P500.
The FSOE is a five-part examination. The CSC conducts the first part, which is the Qualifying Test. DFA conducts the succeeding parts which constitute Preliminary Interview, Written Test, Psychological Test, and Oral Test.
