The Peace and Order Council (POC) is the government's platform for the stronger collaboration of LGUs with law enforcement agencies and the community toward its fight against criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency, and violent extremism. It creates an enabling environment among its members to harmonize and effectively implement peace and order and public safety activities. As stated in Section 9 of DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-143 or the Omnibus Guidelines for Peace and Order Councils (POCs), the POC Performance Audit shall be conducted annually to identify the compliance rating of sub-national POCs and POC Secretariats.

With this, in preparation for this year's audit, DILG Tarlac conducted its Provincial Orientation on February 16, 2022, via Zoom Video Conferencing which tackled the POC Policy Updates, Pillars, and Indicator References. The activity also provided the participants with an overview and a walk-through of the POC Performance Audit System in the POC Portal.

The orientation was participated in by Dir. Belina T. Herman, DILG Tarlac Provincial Director; LGOOs VII Renalyn D. Iglesias and Fortunato M. Abraham III, Cluster Leaders; LGOO VI Romer T. Enaje, Program Manager; City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers and Focal Persons, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators, and Portal Encoders.
