Orion, Bataan – January 31, 2025 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bataan successfully held the B.R.I.G.H.T. Bataan: Bridging Reports and Innovations for Greater Harmony Together, a vital capacity development activity aimed at enhancing the competencies of LGU-hired personnel. The event took place at the MDRRM Hall, Conference Room in Orion, Bataan, drawing dedicated staff from various DILG Field Offices.

In her empowering message, PD Belina T. Herman, CESO V, reminded everyone that “stress is part of our lives.” She emphasized the importance of maintaining grace under pressure, especially when navigating the various reports and tasks involved in supporting the City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs) in executing the Department’s Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs).


The event featured a series of informative sessions, including a reorientation on DILG Bataan’s P.R.O.M.P.T. led by OIC-Program Manager Joanna Marie Cruz. Additionally, LGOO V Ayla Theresa Bugay-Quimlat discussed the significance of MEDCOMS, while LGOO V II Mark Angelo Pumares provided valuable insights on CDD PEAKS and shared essential photojournalism tips and strategies tailored for DILG-LGU staff.

Adding a personal touch, ADA VI Joseph Castro recounted his journey as an LGU staff member in Morong, Bataan, inspiring attendees with his personal experiences and growth.

To foster camaraderie and teamwork, the activity concluded with a fun and engaging game and TikTok challenge which did not only strengthen relationships among DILG-LGU staff and provincial office personnel but also provided a light-hearted way to test their knowledge of DILG PPAs.

The event was officially closed by CTL Cristy Blanco, who expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication.


The B.R.I.G.H.T. Bataan activity marks another step forward in DILG Bataan’s continuous efforts to empower local government personnel and ensure effective service delivery in implementing DILG PPAs.
