The Provincial Government of Bataan successfully conducted the 1st Quarter 2025 Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) on January 22, 2025, at The Bunker, Balanga City, Bataan. Members of these councils, along with local officials, law enforcement agencies, and stakeholders, were present to address key issues and strengthen initiatives for peace, order, and security in the province.
The council presented updates and progress on peace and order efforts, emphasizing security measures, insurgency programs, and community welfare initiatives. One of the primary topics discussed during the meeting was the preparation for the mid-term elections on May 12, 2025. COMELEC representative, Mr. Cristeto Manuel, provided updates on election-related activities, including schedules, security arrangements, voter education, and measures to ensure a peaceful and credible election.
The meeting included a moment of recognition for the Provincial Government of Bataan and its eleven municipalities and one city for achieving High Functional Ratings in the 2024 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit. Five municipalities—Abucay, Dinalupihan, Morong, Pilar, and Samal—were recognized as distinguished awardees in the 2024 ADAC Performance Awards, showcasing their exemplary anti-drug efforts and dedication to public welfare.
The provincial government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and harmonious environment through its collaborative programs and initiatives. This meeting underscores the dedication of Bataan’s leaders to public service and their collective efforts to maintain peace, order, and progress in the province.
