PILAR, Bataan – In a significant stride towards enhancing community security, the local government unit of Pilar celebrated the turnover and inauguration of a brand-new patrol vehicle, funded through the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF). The ceremony, held on May 20, 2024, showcased the municipality's commitment to public safety and effective governance.
The new patrol vehicle, valued at Php 1.8 million, is expected to significantly bolster the local police force's ability to respond to emergencies and maintain public order. This acquisition is a testament to Pilar's proactive stance in ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman CESO V emphasized Pilar’s exemplary performance in the SGLGIF program during her message at the turnover and inauguration ceremonies. She highlighted the successful completion of the project, which secured the 10th spot nationwide.
Underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts, the event was graced by esteemed individuals, including Mayor Carlos Pizarro Jr., Vice Mayor Cecilia Garcia, department heads, staff from the Municipal Engineering Office, MLGOO Annie Hipolito, and personnel from the DILG Bataan Locally-Funded Projects Team and DILG Region 3 Project Development and Management Section.
