CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) held their second quarter joint meeting yesterday, May 14, 2024, at The Bunker.
The meeting, presided over by Governor Joet Garcia, was attended by Vice Governor Cris Garcia, BM Popoy Del Rosario, LMP President Antonio Raymundo Jr., Orani Mayor Bondjong Pascual Jr., representatives of local chief executives, LNB President Romeo Austria, civil society organizations, and other council members from various agencies and departments. DILG Bataan personnel, led by PD Belina Herman, were also present.
The agenda concentrated on evaluating the current peace and order situation within the province, discussing ongoing anti-insurgency initiatives, and providing updates on provincial traffic management, jail management, and fire prevention strategies.
Moreover, a significant portion of the meeting focused on the province's anti-drug efforts. The councils discussed ongoing steps to combat illegal drug activities and discussed measures to maintain the drug-cleared status of all barangays in Bataan.
The joint efforts of the PPOC, PADAC, and PTF-ELCAC underscore the province's continuous commitment to ensuring safety, maintaining order, and promoting drug-free communities.
