Bannering not only the Province of Bataan but also the entire Central Luzon, the Municipality of Bagac gained the distinction as the very first LGU in the country to have completed its project funded under the FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF).
With a total allocation of 1.8 million pesos, the project entitled “Construction of Alapat Road at Barangay Banawang” reached 100% physical completion on March 4, 2024, as reported on the SGLGIF website.
The infrastructure is a 119.5-meter-long and 5-meter-wide concrete pavement aimed at providing safe and convenient transportation to the residents of Barangay Banawang, a place known for its agricultural produce and developing ecotourism sites.
The project underwent final inspection today, facilitated by personnel from the DILG Central Luzon and DILG Bataan Locally-Funded Project Team. LGU functionaries, including Municipal Administrator Nicanor Ancheta, Municipal Engineer Paul Cuartero, and SubayBayan Focal Person Leonila Trinidad.
