To enhance the capacity of LGUs to fulfill their roles more effectively, particularly in light of the upcoming annual audits, DILG Bataan held a re-orientation session for the inter-agency monitoring task force (IMTF) members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking – Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) on April 4, 2023 via Zoom.

Thanks to the collective efforts of the barangay officials and the technical assistance provided by the DILG Field Officers, including LGOO VI Jomar Cruz (City of Balanga), LGOO VI Evelyn Matias (Limay), LGOO VI Annie Hipolito (Orion), and LGOO VI Cherryl Beltran (Pilar), the assemblies allowed the residents to voice their concerns publicly and enabled local officials to address them.

To ensure that the local fishery resources are managed in a responsible and sustainable manner, the DILG Manila Bay Regional Validation Team has successfully conducted the yearly Fisheries Compliance Audit (FishCA) to the 10 coastal LGUs of Bataan from March 22 to April 3, 2023.

In an awarding ceremony held at the Bataan People's Center this morning, the municipalities of Bagac, Mariveles, and Morong, along with the Provincial Government of Bataan (PG Bataan), took center stage as they received the prestigious Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance for the year 2019.

In support to local farmers and the promotion of national food security, President Bongbong Marcos (PBBM) launched the Kadiwa ni Pangulo program on March 31, 2023, in Limay, Bataan. The program, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, aims to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers by establishing Kadiwa stores which will sell fresh produce at prices that are fair both to farmers and consumers.
