Usapang VAWC for the 10th episode of Usapang DILG
The DILG Aurora and its Local Governance Resource Center "TAMBULI", in collaboration with DWBW 92.1 RTV Baler, Radyo Kawadi and Radyo Kaedup, aired the 10th episode of Usapang DILG: Gabay sa Pamamahalang Lokal, on May 26, 2023.
For the 10th episode entitled, “ANO ANG VAWC? ANU-ANO ANG URI NITO? ATING ALAMIN!”, the RA 9262 or the “ACT DEFINING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN” was discussed. Also defined were the types of punishable acts and different protection order.
This episode was graced by none other than PCPT Lorena O Bautista, Acting Chief of the Women and Children Protection Program, Aurora Police Provincial Office.
This episode on VAWC and the discussion on Barangay Protection Order (BPO) is crucial for public knowledge and easy understanding of RA 9262 that legally mandates issuance of BPO meant to prevent further acts of violence against women and their children.
