The DILG Aurora Provincial Project Monitoring Team (PPMT), in collaboration with the LGU inspectorate team, conducted a progress inspection of the ongoing project funded through FY 2024 Local Government Support Fund-Support and Assistance Fund to Participatory Budgeting (LGSF-SAFPB) on April 22, 2025. The project, which is supported by a Php 13,333,333.00 national subsidy, consists of well development, pumps Installation and accessories, laying of main distribution pipes, construction of elevated reservoir, construction of pumphouse with solar power system for its operation to address climate change solution which will significantly enhance water accessibility and security for the locals and IPs in the barangay.
The inspection team from DILG Aurora, along with the Local Project Monitoring Committee members from the LGU, conducted a thorough validation and assessment of the ongoing project. They observed that the project incurred a negative slippage of less than five percent and advised the LGU to issue reminder letters to the contractor.
After the site validation, an exit conference was held with key stakeholders. They discussed with the LGU inspectorate team and contractor’s representative, all the observations such as deficiency in the dimensions of the installed angular bars for the solar panel support which is inconsistent with the approved plans, discrepancy in the number/spacing of stirrups etc. The PPMT reminded them to submit any approved variation order reflecting the said changes and to comply with the national standards and specifications.
