Casiguran, Aurora – On April 23, 2025, Barangay Calantas of Casiguran, Aurora, successfully participated in the Regional Online Validation for the 2025 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) under the 2nd Class Municipality category. The validation was held via Zoom and was facilitated by the distinguished members of the Regional Awards Commitee (RAC) composed of the DILG, DOJ, RTC, PNP and CSO.

PB Veluz Eugenio, Lupon chairman, led the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Calantas in showcasing their techniques and efforts in amicably settling barangay disputes, implementing innovative strategies, and sustaining a responsive justice system at the local level. Through comprehensive documentation and testimonials, Brgy. Calantas highlighted its commitment to maintaining peace and order at the grassroots, aligning with the LTIA’s objective of strengthening Katarungang Pambarangay.

LGOO VI Florenz Zaira Buenconsejo, MLGOO of Casiguran, provided essential guidance and technical support throughout the process. She was also joined by LGOO V Clarissa G. Hess of the DILG Aurora Provincial Office.

The LTIA is an annual national search launched by the DILG to recognize outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa that adequately demonstrate the ability to judiciously and expeditiously resolve cases referred to them.
