DILG – NE Holds Coordinative Meeting for the Inauguration of Spanish-Funded Projects

DILG Nueva Ecija, under the leadership of OIC-Asst. Regional Director and concurrent NE PD Abraham A. Pascua, hosted on March 17, 2014 at the Provincial Auditorium in Cabanatuan City a Coordinative Meeting in preparation for the Inauguration of the Humanitarian Emergency Assistance Warehouse to be held on March 25, 2014 in Air Force City, Clark Field, Pampanga.
Among the attendees were the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija – through the Provincial Engineer’s Office, Provincial Treasurer’s Office, Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council and the Provincial General Services Office, as well as the Municipalities of Aliaga, Sto. Domingo, Zaragoza, Carranglan, Llanera, Rizal, Gabaldon and Laur and the City of San Jose. These Local Government Units, as represented by their respective Local Chief Executives, Municipal Planning and Development Officer (MPDO), Municipal Agrarian Officer (MAO) and Municipal Local Governemnt Operations Officer (MLGOO), are the lucky recipients of the Spanish assistance extended to help recover from Typhoon Quiel’s and Pharma’s damages in the province.
In the inauguration, all the heavy equipment, learning materials and infrastructure and livelihood projects will be showcased for the Spanish delegation headed by His Excellency Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo y Marfil to appreciate the products of their goodwill.
ARD Pascua reiterated during the Coordinative Meeting the importance of the said activity that all involved must prepare with full cooperation and excellence as a way of showing how thankful the Novo Ecijanos are for extending such kindness.
DILG-NE joins DENR in Clean-up Activity and Celebration of World Wildlife Day

The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Nueva Ecija joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in their Clean-up Activity and Celebration of the World Wildlife Day on March 5, 2013 at Minalungao National Park (MNP), General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. The activity coincided with the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) with the theme "Manila Bay Clean-up and IEC on Manila Bay, Biodiversity, Wild Life and DENR Programs and Projects". It was participated in by different agencies led by DENR headed by PENRO Leovino C. Ignacio; Cabanatuan City ENRO; Palayan City ENRO; Municipal ENRO; DILG-NE, LGOO III Girard M. Sawit, Admin Aide IV Edgardo W. Adriano, Jr. and Admin Aide IV Jessica J. Esguerra represented DILG-NE Provincial Director and concurrent Assistant Regional Director Abraham A. Pascua; LGU-Gen. Tinio; TV-48, Barangay Officials of Barangay Pias headed by Punong Barangay Robert Fernandez; Public Information Office; 4H Club; NEPG-OPA; and Faculty and Elementary Students from Barangay Pias. The activity also included Environmental Awareness Activity participated in by students and faculty.

PNP-NEPPO holds Ground Breaking Ceremony “NEPPO Hostel Building”

The Philippine National Police – Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office held Ground Breaking Ceremony for their NEPPO Hostel Building headed by PNP Provincial Director PSSupt. Crizaldo O. Nieves on March 3, 2014 at Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) Gymnasium.
The building, which could also be used as a place during conferences, is intended for PNP Personnel and their families coming from other towns. It was donated by Governor Umali in recognition of the efforts of the PNP for keeping the province of Nueva Ecija safe. PNP Chief PDG Alan La Madrid Purisima, in his message, appreciated the support of Governor Umali for giving the Hostel Buiding and other infrastructure previously donated to the PNP. He also emphasized that that the PNP must enhance the COMPETENCE of each and every policeman, redefine and reform the ORGANIZATION, realize EXCELLENCE in all aspects of police work, and institute PROFESSIONALISM at all levels of the organizationto better serve and protect the community.
