Members of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) gathered early today for their final quarterly meeting of the year at Kingsborough International Convention Center, presided over by Pampanga Provincial Governor and PPOC-PADAC Chairperson Hon. Dennis Pineda.

Among the meeting’s highlights, Atty. Lydia Florentino-Panginan from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) provided updates on the upcoming 2025 elections. Discussions centered on statistical data regarding the number of registered voters, a report on the filing of certificates of candidacy, and the calendar of activities and prohibited acts to ensure a safe, secure, and orderly electoral process.

DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano presented a resolution encouraging all local government units (LGUs) in Pampanga to pass a uniform ordinance regulating the use of e-tricycles and e-bikes on local roads. This initiative is a key step toward promoting the safe, regulated, and environmentally responsible use of these vehicles. The council reviewed and approved the resolution, reinforcing its commitment to the province’s peace and order initiatives.

Lastly, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) presented their quarterly reports on crime rates, the illegal drug situation, drug-clearing progress, and updates on internal peace and security.
