November 13, 2023 - TV48 Nueva Ecija conducted an interview with Atty. Ofelio A Tactac, Jr., CESO V, Provincial Director of DILG Nueva Ecija, regarding the recently concluded synchronized 2023 Barangay and Sanggunian Kabataan Elections (BSKE). Among the highlights of the interview was PD Tactac's view on the appropriate and timely inventory and turnover of barangay and SK properties, financial records, documents and properties and money accountabilities of the outgoing barangay and SK officials (BSKO). PD Tactac also shed light on the guidelines relating to the assumption to office of the BSKOs. In the conclusion of the interview, PD Tactac emphasized the importance for the barangay and SK officials to do what is appropriate and in accordance with the law especially in their respective roles as public servants. #Uhay

On November 08, 2023, the DILG Nueva Ecija, through the leadership of Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, spearheaded the conduct of the Capacity Building of Barangay-Based Institutions of the six(6) beneficiary barangays of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija under the CY 2023 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP). One of the highlights of the activity was the lecture of PD Tactac where he discussed the history and evils of communism. Afterwards, LGOO V Kristian Rob D. Santiago discussed the background of RCSP. Thereafter, Engr II Patrick Jerome L. Cipriano presented the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP). Another highlight of the activity was the distribution of solar street lights to the RCSP beneficiary barangays, namely: Capintalan, Minuli, Piut, Putlan, Salazar and San Agustin. The activity was participated in by Mayor Rogelio B. Abad (RCSP Head) together with LGU Department Heads and staff, MLGOO Ronnel S. Ubungen (RCSP Core Team Head), BFP, PNP, Philippine Army, Punong Barangays and DILG Provincial Office staff. #Uhay #TresTheBest

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Nueva Ecija (DILG NE) under the leadership of Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac Jr., CESO V, conducted a simulated Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation Election on November 8, 2023. The activity was participated by all Provincial and Field Office personnel via face-to-face modality and Zoom video conferencing platform. Said simulation and orientation focused on the discussion of the flow of the 2023 SK City/ Municipal Federation Election from the sending of written notices to the BES members and observers, registration process, conduct of the orientation on the roles of SK Federation officers, determination of quorum, constitution of election committee, nomination of candidates, procedures prior to and during casting of votes, counting of votes, to proclamation of winners, oath taking, then submission of the election reports. One of the highlights of the activity. Provincial Director Tactac also cited situations or concerns which may occur during said procedures and explained to the field officers the appropriate actions they should take to address the matter. To conclude the activity, PD Tactac expressed his full support to all the DILG NE personnel especially the field officers and hoped for a peaceful and orderly conduct of the SK Federation Election. #Uhay #TresTheBest
