The Ease of Doing Business National Audit Team from DILG-Bureau of Local Government Development, DILG Central Luzon and DILG Nueva Ecija conducted rounds of audit on the five (5) Cities in the province, namely: Cabanatuan City, City of San Jose, Gapan City, Palayan City, and Science City of Muñoz. For the past five days, October 9-13, the said cities went through rigid on-site inspection of LGU facilities and infrastructure, interviews, and documentary review towards upgrading and continuous transparency, accountability, and effective delivery of public service. The national assessment is one of the phases in the implementation of Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business Law which aims to entice entrepreneurs to open up their businesses in the country by expediting business and non-business transactions including the issuances of permits and licenses and holding government officials accountable for graft and corruption. #DILG #UHAY #TresTheBest

Funded under the F.Y. 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), the project is envisioned to improve the water channel system and prevent Guimba’s población district from serving as catch basin by redirecting the floodwater coming from adjacent barangays. The inauguration was led by the Honorable Mayor Jesulito E. Galapon, DMD, and also graced by DILG Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III, Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr., CESO V, Cluster Team Leader LGOO VII Dennis A. Daquiz, LGOO VI Katherine DL. Lapuz, LGOO V Leovielyn H. Aduna, PDMS Chief LGOO V Khalid F. Sungod and DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Engineers. The newly constructed drainage canal will greatly benefit the residents, especially the students and teachers, who now don’t have to worry about traversing the flooded streets during the rainy season. This project is a testament to how the SGLGIF Program of the DILG is helping LGUs achieve their goal of becoming exemplary in delivering improved basic services to their constituents. #SGLGIF #Uhay ???? #TresTheBest
