The Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) of Bataan held its 2nd Provincial/Municipal/City CPC Summit at Crown Royale Hotel, Balanga City on November 22, 2013. The event was attended by all MCPC members, municipal mayor, provincial government department heads and national government attached agencies. The event aims to recognize the efforts and thrusts of LGUs relative to their PPAs for children during the past calendar year.
The DILG, chairman of Inter-agency Monitoring Task Force of PCPC, presented the monitoring tool used during the validation and assessment of MCPC and the level of functionality adjectival and numerical rating.
The municipalities of Mariveles, Abucay and Samal were awarded with the Most Outstanding Child-Friendly LGUs for 2012 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Special Citation for most Improved MCPC was awarded to the Municipality of Abucay. Best in Advocacy and Documentation were given to the Municipality of Mariveles while Best in Innovation was given to the Municipality of Samal.
BM Reynaldo T. Ibe, Jr. Vice-Chairperson, SP committee on women and children announced the State of the Children’s Address of the Province of Bataan.
