BALER, AURORA. On September 05, 2023, DILG Aurora, through its sub-Local Governance Resource Center (TAMBULI) spearheaded the SALIGAN (Sandigan ng mga Lingkod-Barangay na Gumaganap para sa Agarang hustisya at kapayapaan Ng Mamamayan): A Katarungang Pambarangay refresher for Municipal Local Government Operations Officers under one of Tambuli's innovation program for strengthening the DILG Aurora internal governance capacity, the "DILG-AKKAW".

 With Atty. Patrick Alexis Angara as the resource person, the fourth instalment of the said program, focused on Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) or the Barangay Justice System.
The discussion focused on refresher on Lupong Tagapamayapa, Roles and Responsibilities of Lupon, cases under the KP, and its process.

The refresher course provided the Aurora Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), a levelling of knowledge and uniform understanding on the processes and procedures of the barangay justice system for the effective and efficient provision of legal advice to the DILG Aurora clientele.

DILG-AKKAW stands for Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Advancing Knowledge sKills and Attitude at Workplace. The program is designed to provide capacity development interventions for the MLGOO's to increase productivity and improve their quality performance.
