The DILG Nueva Ecija headed by Provincial Director Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr.conducted the "Provincial Orientation on the 2022 Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA)" on August 15, 2022 via Zoom Video Conference platform.

 The activity was aimed to orient the Barangay Officials from LGUs under the Manila Bay Program on the updated implementation guidelines, assessment process and indicators on the conduct of C.Y.2022 BECA.

It was participated by the Punong Barangays, Sanggunian Barangay Member - Committee Chair on Environment, and Barangay Secretaries.

LGOO V Vivorey S. Lapitan, Monitoring and Evaluation Section Chief, led the discussion of the Regional Memorandum Circular No. 2022-006, Updated Guidelines in the implementation of the Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA) within the Manila Bay Watershed Area.

In addition, LGOO II Ma. Christina P. Casares and ADAS II Lyka P. Dimalanta presented the Nine (9) Assessment Indicators of the BECA Audit which will be used as basis for the functionality of environmental compliance in the barangays of Nueva Ecija.
The said audit shall be based on the 3rd Quarter 2021 to the 2nd Quarter 2022 accomplishments of each barangays.
