DILG Pampanga in partnership with Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) kicked off today, March 18, 2022, the LED4LGUs program via Zoom. Trainers from the LRI were joined by local functionaries coming from eight LGUs in the 3rd and 4th class municipalities and representatives from the Department headed by Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza and Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia.
The program is developed by the Department through the Local Government Academy and is designed to improve the capacities of local government units and equip them to effectively identify opportunities for economic development in their locality and implement initiatives that will help create a conducive environment for doing business.
"The LED4LGUs program of the Department is very timely considering the economic impact of the pandemic on our LGUs. Napakaganda nitong programa dahil matutulungan natin ang ating mga lokal na pamahalaan ng mga stratehiya at mabigyan sila ng bagong kaalaman kung papaano pa nila mapapayabong ang ekonomiya sa kanilang mga lokalidad," said PD Fabia.
PD Fabia also thanked DHVSU for its partnership and support in the implementation of the Department's programs and in advancing good governance in the form of capacity development interventions.
The LED4LGUs will cover three fundamental modules and run for five days with participants from Bacolor, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Sta Ana, Sta Rita, Sto Tomas, Sasmuan.
