In line with Olongapo City's initiative to raise child and youth welfare, the City Government, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government and Department of Education, awarded the barangays with functional Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPC) on May 27, 2019.

Cristo, Angeles City's Barangay Based Institutions, a reorientation on GAD Focal Point System, RA 9262 Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004 and Strengthening Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) was conducted on April 26, 2019 at Barangay Sto. Cristo, Multi-Purpose Building.
