Tarlac City, Tarlac - The Provincial Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (PLECC) of Tarlac met for the 2nd time on April 11, 2019 at the Tarlac Provincial Police Office (TPPO), Conference Room, Camp Macabulos, Tarlac City.
The PLECC was organized to ensure closer cooperation and coordination among law enforcement agencies involved in the enforcement of general and special laws. It aims to attain a unified direction and integration of efforts towards the attainment of a peaceful community and for the development of progress in the whole province.
PNP Provincial Director and PLECC Chairperson Jesus Rebua highlighted the objectives of the said meeting to merge the efforts of different agencies in preparation for the Holy Week and the 2019 Mid-term elections.
In line with the expected shoot-up on the volume of commuters and motorists going in-and-out in the province this coming Holy Week, DILG-Tarlac Program Manager Jessica Esguerra reminded the body especially those with direct involvement in the Oplan Ligtas SUMVAC (Summer Vacation) that a mechanism or strategy to ensure peace and order should be in place. Such mechanism may include the establishment of motorist assistance booths at strategic areas along the highways of the province.
At the end of the meeting, PCol. Rebua assured the body that the Tarlac Provincial Police Office (TPPO) would do its best to help in the attainment of the committee's objective.
