Among the highlights of the 2nd day of DILG Region 3 Congress, is the discussion of the End-of Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) Program held at Quest Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone on November 3, 2017 that was attended by the Department's all regular personnel.

PAMPANGA - As an important module in the CBMS implementation, DILG R-3 conducted a three-day Training of Trainors (TOT) on the Community Based Monitoring System Accelerated Poverty Profiling (CBMS APP) for its Field Focal Persons on September 13-15, 2017 at Grace Crown Hotel, Balibago, Angeles City. It is aimed to equip them with the knowledge and skills on Module II components which particularly on data processing, poverty mapping and database building. Likewise, the training was conducted with the end in view that the eighteen (18) LGUs in the region with enrolled CBMS under the 2016 Bottom Up Budgeting (BuB) program are expected to request for technical assistance on Module II upon meeting the requirements on Module I data collection per provisions of 2016 CBMS BUB-MOA.

On August 22-23, 2017, the DILG Region III conducted the Provincial Strategic Direction Setting Conference Workshop at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel and Event Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. One of the objectives of the workshop is to strengthen the Local Development Councils particularly their role in local development planning and as partner of the national government in implementing national programs that are truly responsive to the needs of communities at the local level. Moreover, the mainstreaming and localization of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) anchored on AmBisyon Natin 2040, the provisions of the Sendai Framework for DRR, and other international commitments.
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT ZONE – The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III spearheaded the conduct of the Orientation and Consultative Workshop on F.Y. 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program last August 23-25, 2017 at the Subic Bay Travelers Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

ANGELES CITY– The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III together with the National Economic and Development Authority Region III facilitated the Regional Workshop on National/Regional Strategic Priorities and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Alignment on Region III which was held on August 10-11, 2017 at Grace Crown Hotel, Angeles City. This is in line with President Rodrigo Duterte's Executive Order No. 27 "Directing All Government Agencies and instrumentalities, including LGUs to implement the PDP and PIP for the period 2017-2022" particularly Section 2. Alignment of Programs with the PDP 2017-2011.
