As the year approaches its halfway mark, DILG Bulacan, under the leadership of PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, successfully conducted an activity entitled, “Strengthening Strategies and Synergies: DILG Bulacan’s Mid-Year Assessment and Review” on May 20-21, 2025. Convening all City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs) and Provincial Office personnel, the DILG Bulacan evaluates the accomplishments and priorities for the 1st Semester.
The activity was graced by DILG Regional Director, Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda. In his message, he commended the hard work and dedication of the DILG Bulacan personnel — highlighting its significant contribution to the overall accomplishment of the regional office, especially as Bulacan is one of the provinces with larger number of local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon. He also directed the personnel to prepare for capacitating the Newly-Elected Officials (NEO).
The assessment also highlighted the recently concluded national and local elections, where discussions centered on the transition of newly elected officials, the importance of continuity in governance, and DILG’s role in ensuring that local government units (LGUs) uphold transparency, accountability, and adherence to laws during leadership transitions.
Looking ahead, as of the reporting period, DILG Bulacan completed 57.9%, equivalent to 81 completed targets and 32 targets that are about to be completed for the 1st Semester. The office also outlined several upcoming activities, including the orientation and training programs for newly elected officials, the second semester rollout of governance performance assessments, strengthening of ALAGWA Bulacan, and intensified monitoring of locally funded projects under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).
This assessment reaffirmed DILG Bulacan’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with LGUs and stakeholders, enhancing public service delivery, and sustaining a culture of excellence and integrity in local governance throughout the next quarters of 2025.
