The Province of Bataan once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in governance, as 12 of its local government units (LGUs) or 92.30% received the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) during the awarding ceremony held on December 10, 2024, at the Manila Hotel.
This year’s awardees include the Provincial Government of Bataan, Balanga City, and the municipalities of Abucay, Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar, and Samal.
Balanga City stood out as an eight-time recipient of the award, solidifying its reputation as a model of good governance. The award was presented by DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr.
DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, Cluster Head and SGLG Focal Person LGOO VII Cristy M. Blanco, and the respective DILG Field Officers of the awardees, attended the event to celebrate this achievement.
Bataan maintained its number of SGLG passers from last year, showcasing the province's consistent dedication to quality service, transparency, and accountability.
The SGLG is the highest recognition for LGUs that demonstrate excellence in financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, environmental management, and other key areas of governance.
Congratulations, Bataeños!
