To increase the level of awareness of LGUs on the utility value and application of multi-hazard maps in the mitigation and management of natural disasters, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 3 in coordination with, DENR-MGB3, OCD3, DOST-PAGASA and DOST-Project NOAH, is presently conducting a one-day training for LGUs on the Understanding of Multi-Hazard Maps, their Usage and Application in Local Development Planning.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Office of Project Development Services (OPDS) in close coordination with DILG R-3 initiated the conduct of the Special Local Roads Fund (SLRF) project monitoring and validation last May 2, 3, 6, and 7, 2013 in various Provinces and Cities of this region.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, through its Regional Office No. 3 under the stewardship of RD Florida M. Dijan in coordination with DENR-MGB 3, OCD 3 and the various attached Service Agencies of DOST, spearheaded the conduct of the Pilot Testing of the proposed Training for LGUs on Understanding Multi-Hazard Maps, their Usage and Application in Local Development Planning on May 23, 2013 at Brgy. Poblacion, Calumpit, Bulacan.

The Technical Working Group (TWG) for the LGU Database Establishment Project held its first official meeting last April 19, 2013 with the representatives from the DILG-3 regional, provincial and city field offices at the Conference Room of DILG RO3 in Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
DILG R-3 engaged in a Two-Day Workshop on the Crafting of its Operations Manual for the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) on May 8-9, 2013 at DILG Regional Conference Room, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. It was participated in by the LGRRC-3 Regional Team and Provincial and City Focal Persons of 7 provinces and 2 Highly Urbanized Cities in the region.
