On September 20, 2024, a successful Townhall Meeting titled "Collaborative Pathways: Building Partnerships for Peace and Development" was held in 2nd floor, Mayor's Conference Hall, Maria Aurora Municipal Building.
The event brought together concerned local government officials of the municipality of Maria Aurora, Provincial Government of Aurora, representatives from relevant National Government Agencies, and key barangay officials from the six (6) focused barangays under the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), namely Baubo, Decoliat, Galintuja, Ponglo, San Juan, and Villa Aurora.
Through an open forum, participants tackled pressing issues on health and infrastructure, economic challenges, and social development, among others. The discussions centered on finding collective solutions to both the primary and secondary concerns gathered during the Ugnayan sa Barangay sessions, which were part of the Immersion Phase of the RCSP. The forum aimed to identify collaborative efforts to address these issues by engaging multiple stakeholders, with the goal of ensuring that the solutions would have a lasting impact on the community.
The activity, facilitated by the DILG Aurora, highlighted the impact of collective action in promoting sustainable peace and development. It provided a platform for coordination between local government units (LGUs) and relevant government agencies, ensuring that the barangay development plans are aligned and integrated with those at the municipal and provincial levels.
