The 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Regional Assessment which was conducted from May 28 to June 6, 2024 has concluded with a resounding affirmation of excellence for Aurora's eight municipalities. Aurora LGUs have demonstrated unparalleled commitment to exemplary governance, standing as beacons of integrity, efficiency, and public service in the country.
The assessment team headed by LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster Team Leader of DILG Nueva Ecija, LGOO VI Florenz Zaira B. Buenconsejo, SGLG Provincial Focal Person, and Engr. Shiela B. Perez, PICE Aurora (CSO Rep), with LGOO V Clarissa G. Hess and LGOO V Reyner L. Buenconsejo as documenters, conducted assessment of documents, interviews, and performed on-site inspection of required facilities.
Each municipality demonstrated strengths in different SGLG areas namely Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Safety, Peace and Order, Environmental management, Sustainable Education, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and the Arts, and Youth Development. The LGUs which will pass all the ten (10) governance areas will be recommended by the Regional Assessment Team to undergo the National Validation prior to the conferment of the Seal.
As they embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead, the LGUs are poised to remain exemplars of good governance which fosters an environment of excellence, transparency, and innovation.
