On May 27-30, 2024 the DILG Central Office, accompanied by the Region 3 Office, and the Aurora Provincial Office provided technical assistance to the Local Government Units (LGU) of Baler, Casiguran, Dilasag, Dinalungan, and Maria Aurora for the implementation of FY 2023 Local Government Support Fund - Financial Assistance to LGUs.
Additionally, the tools for the Road Condition Assessment Form were pilot-tested to gather direct recommendations and feedback from the LGU functionaries who may use these tools in the future once fully institutionalized.
The LGUs were also capacitated on the creation of the Annual Maintenance Work Program (AMWP) to ensure the sustainability and long-term impact of completed public infrastructure and facilities.
During the consultations and site visits, LGUs were able to communicate issues and concerns that, if addressed, may fast-track the implementation of ongoing projects, while the DILG LFP team with the RO and CO engineers were also able to validate the actual status of LGSF-FALGU projects and coordinate with other relevant stakeholders in each Municipality.
