Subic- In order to develop awareness on the importance of Resettlement Governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III held an Advocacy on the Formulation of Local Inter-Agency Committee in receiving LGUs and HRG Orientation (LIAC Workshop) together with Informal Settler Families- Program Management Office (ISF-PMO) on October 11-13, 2016 at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel.


The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Home Owners Association from receiving LGUs in Bulacan namely: Bocaue, Balagtas, Norzagaray, Pandi and City Of San Juan Del Monte, partner NGAs and other DILG Officers.
Engr. Bobby Gavina, Program Manager of ISF-PMO, encouraged everyone to work harder to be able to come up with better plans for the ISFs.
"Let us focus on people's plan, basically on people's initiative. We aim to bridge the gaps and hopefully we will have better ISF program."
The 3-day workshop was composed of discussions of challenges and impact of the Government Resettlement Program as well as policies, processes and structures on the Resettlement Program.
At the end of the workshop, the participants were able to formulate and to review the structures, legal and administrative instruments on resettlement program.
