The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales held its Provincial Team Conference (PTC) last July 05, 2022 to continuously find way to better implement the Department's programs, projects and activities (PPAs) not just for the next semester, but for the years to come.
Field officers were informed of the Organization/Reorganization of Provincial Committees, Assignment of PPAs to Focal Persons and Accomplishments per Operations Plan and Budget (OPB).

Results of various functionality audits were also presented — (1) Peace and Order Council (POC) Audit; (2) Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Audit; (3) Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA); and (4) Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG). Individual field officers were enjoined to formulate their action plan to address the identified gaps and areas for improvement that shall be accomplished and monitored, covering three (3) quarters before the next ensuing audit.
Likewise, status of reports submitted under Monitoring and Evaluation Section (MES), Capability Development Section (CDS), and Financial and Administrative Section (FAS) updates on the various issuances and Quality Management System (QMS) were presented to beat with the submission before the deadline.
In his message, PD Moral encouraged the field officers to come-up with interventions that would best address the performance gaps and to further assist the local government units (LGUs) in improving public service delivery. "We cannot settle for gradual improvement...it should be significant. We should be mindful that our mandate is capacity building, so we need to lay down our strategies and plan out our courses of action. Lalong-lalo na, ang nagle-lead ng mga functionality assessments ay ang ating Department. It would be better to strategize na sama-sama. Make ourselves needed and relevant. Read, comprehend and plan to have a better success rate".
In conclusion, PD Moral, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the complete attendance of the team in his first PTC.
