The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III, DILG Bataan, and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) officially signed on March 8, 2022 a memorandum of agreement that will pave the way for the implementation of the Local Economic Development for Local Government Units (LED4LGUs) Program in the province.

Under the four-page MOA signed by DILG Region III RD Karl Caesar Rimando, DILG Bataan PD Myra Moral-Soriano, and BPSU President Dr. Gregorio Rodis, the parties were expected to orchestrate a series of trainings involving three fundamental LED modules for the third- and fourth-class municipalities of Bataan.

LED4LGUs Program is the brainchild of the Local Government Academy that aims to enhance the capacities of LGU officials and functionaries in creating a favorable environment for economic growth and employment generation. Its successful facilitation will enable the target participants to generate strategic options and develop unconventional approaches towards improving productivity of their locality.

The MOA signing was also attended by DILG R3 CDD Chief Ener Cambronero, CDD Asst. Chief Lee Allen Pineda, BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension and Training Dr. Hermogenes Paguia, and DILG Bataan personnel.
