With its technical expertise in research and training, DHVSU was once again chosen by DILG Pampanga Provincial Office to be its implementing partner in delivering the LED4LGUs program to eight (8) third to fourth class municipalities in the province. In the past, the Provincial Office has worked closely with the state university in conducting various programs and activities of the Department.

A coordination meeting was held on February 9, 2022 to set in motion the pre-implementation activities and address any queries from the partner LRI on the training requirements and outputs.

LED4LGUs, which was developed by the Local Government Academy, is focused on providing interventions and capacities to LGUs and help LGU leaders develop an entrepreneurial leadership mindset to advance local economic development in their communities. Target LGUs in Pampanga are Bacolor, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santa Rita, Santo Tomas and Sasmuan while the program will cover three modules.

The partnership also underscores the important role of the Pampanga LGRC, in which DHVSU is a member of its Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee, in ensuring the program's implementation and accomplishment of objectives.
