Tarlac City, Tarlac – True to its commitment to continuously capacitate and nurture local government units, the DILG Tarlac Provincial Office conducted an orientation for the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance "Pagkilala Sa Katapatan at Kahusayan Ng Pamahalaang Lokal" on January 31, 2022, via Zoom Video Conference.

 Tarlac City, Tarlac – True to its commitment to continuously capacitate and nurture local government units, the DILG Tarlac Provincial Office conducted an orientation for the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance "Pagkilala Sa Katapatan at Kahusayan Ng Pamahalaang Lokal" on January 31, 2022, via Zoom Video Conference.

"We may need to look back, but to look forward is the best way to prepare for the future," said DILG Provincial Director Belina T. Herman during her welcome remarks. She also pointed out that the LGU's performance to other audits such as the Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit (ADAC) and Child-friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) is as important as the SGLG.

The said activity was participated by the department and office heads of the Provincial Government of Tarlac led by Governor Susan A. Yap. In her message conveyed by Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) Krishna V. Buenaventura, En.P., she encouraged the participants to always excellence and continuously improve for the betterment of their service to the public, which is the meaning of their Kapampangan mantra "maYap a serbisyu" which means "mabuting serbisyo" in Filipino.

LGOO VI Paul Michael Blanco presented the indicators of the 2022 SGLG as well as the tentative timeline of its implementation. He also emphasized that the SGLG is a now-institutionalized award, incentive, honor, and recognition-based program in virtue of Republic Act No. 11292 or the SGLG Act.

In his closing message, Provincial Government of Tarlac Administrator Engr. Roberto Ventura further stir up everyone's cooperation and look towards another round of meeting in preparation to the upcoming SGLG 2022 Assessment.
