DILG AURORA conducts the Provincial Table Validation of the Seal of Good Local Governance for the year 2021 on November 16, 2021 at the DILG Aurora Provincial Office Conference Room.

 This is in line with the DILG issued Memorandum Circular No. 2021-074: 2021 Pilot Testing of Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) that encourages and challenges the barangays to scale up their performance and practices of good governance that is an important role in the overall development and transformation of the community and of the nation.

The Provincial Validation Team was composed of the DILG represented by DILG Aurora Cluster Team Leader, LGOO VII Dennis A. Daquiz and LGOO V Rossella P. Edillor, SGLGB Focal Person; Liga ng mga Barangay, Aurora Chapter represented by Vice-Chairperson, PB Maria Elene Nicer; Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator represented by the Mr. Arius Dulay; and the recognized CSO Partner Adventist Community Services represented by Ptr. Pastor Barredo.

The 8 target barangays which underwent the validation are the following:

Brgy. Pingit, Baler;
Brgy. Lual Casiguran;
Brgy. Dilaguidi Dilasag;
Brgy. Nipoo, Dingalan;
Brgy. Caragsacan, Dingalan;
Brgy. Puangi Dipaculao;
Brgy. San Joaquin, Maria Aurora and
Brgy. 04 of San Luis.

This year, the SGLGB followed the 3+1 principle wherein a barangay needs to pass ALL of three (3) CORE AREAS (1. Safety, Peace and Order; 2. Financial Administration and Sustainability; and 3. Disaster Preparedness) and at least one (1) ESSENTIAL AREA (1. Social Protection and Sensibility; 2. Business Friendliness and Competitiveness; and 3. Environmental Management).

Out of the 8 Target Barangays, only 4 (to be announced later) were able to fulfill the minimum requirements of the SGLGB and passed the Provincial Level Assessment.
