The DILG-OC urged the barangays of Olongapo City to acquire Safety Seal on July 14 during the Barangay Secretaries Orientation Meeting at the Grand Hoya Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

 LGOO V Fernando M. Erese, Jr. discussed the objectives of the Safety Seal Certification Program such as to ensure the compliance of public and private establishments with the minimum public health standards set by the government, encourage the adoption of the StaySafe.ph digital contact tracing application to strengthen the contact tracing initiative of the government and effectively contain the spread of COVID-19, and to safely reopen the economy.

He also presented the eligibility, certification process and the checklist of requirements and means of verification to qualify for the Safety Seal certification.

The Safety Seal is a voluntary certification and obtaining it shall be at no cost to the establishment. It affirms that an establishment complies with the minimum public health protocols, and integrates the StaySafe.ph for contact tracing. The seal shall be displayed conspicuously at all entrance points according to prescribed dimensions.
