The DILG Regional Office III, in coordination with the Office of the Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communication (OUSPPAC) and Information Systems and Technology Management Service (ISTMS), facilitated the Regional Orientation on the Safety Seal Certification Program via Zoom Cloud platform on June 15, 2021. The activity was conducted to capacitate the DILG and LGU personnel and to ensure uniformity of understanding in the implementation of the said program.

OIC-Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza highlighted the importance of the Safety Seal Certification Program to increase the compliance of private and public entities with the minimum public health standards set by the national government. The overview of the activity was delivered by MED Chief Lerrie S. Hernandez.

Atty. Cezar Ryan Aquino, Executive Assistant IV from the Office of the Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communication discussed the implementing guidelines on the Safety Seal Certification Program (SSCP).

Furthermore, the Stay Safe.ph app was demonstrated by Mr. Eduardo B. David Jr, ISTMS Data Analyst during the orientation to encourage LGUs and participants to adopt and use the digital contract tracing application.

After that, the secretariat facilitated the open forum wherein questions and concerns about the program were raised and addressed by the resource persons.

Lastly, LGOO V Maria Clarissa R. Dimatulac presented the SSCP monitoring template to be used in the submission of reports of the DILG and LGU Inspection and Certification Team.
