The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Masinloc headed by Mayor Arsenia J. Lim guaranteed full support to the peace and order programs of the national government during the second quarter meeting of the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Cluster on May 12, 2021 via zoom application.

 Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) Joel G. Tovera presented the municipality's efforts against COVID-19. Meanwhile, updates on criminality, anti-illegal drugs and COVID-19 response of the municipal police station were discussed by Police Executive Master Sergeant Edwin R. Evangelista. Provincial Officer Jigger B. Juniller of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) suggested actions to scale up the barangay drug-clearing efforts. Moreover, Fire Marshal Ramon S. Gutierrez provided recommendations for a safer municipality with regard to fire prevention.

During his presentation, 1Lt Oliver Norman Adlaon of the 33rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion commended the municipality and all the thirteen (13) barangays for being one of the three (3) LGUs of Zambales with complete resolutions on the creation of Barangay Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict and denouncing the atrocities of terrorist groups. He also emphasized the importance of community support to the anti-surgency program.

Mayor Lim expressed her gratitude to the members for attending the first online meeting of the POPS cluster and for continuously doing their part toward a safe and progressive Masinloc.
The POPS Cluster is composed of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC).
