The Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) cluster of the Municipality of Castillejos chaired by Hon. Mayor Eleanor D. Dominguez convened its members on January 20, 2021 at the Municipal Building to discuss the different issues affecting the municipality for the past year, in preparation for the year 2021.

Among the matters taken into consideration were the accomplishments for year 2020, as well as plans in the pipeline for first quarter of 2021 concerning areas of peace and order, illegal drugs, insurgency, health and solid waste, and violence against women and children.

Moreover, efficient and safe implementation of locally funded projects, local government unit (LGU) actions against COVID-19, upcoming validation on the LGU's compliance to road clearing, as well as newly-approved ordinances and strategies for the LGU to comply with the several DILG Memorandum Circulars and directives from the national government, were also taken account.

The activity also served as a venue to award the cash incentives to the barangays who performed well in the area of solid waste management in the year 2020.
In her message, Mayor Dominguez thanked the cluster members for their support and contribution to the accomplishments of the LGU in year 2020. She added that despite the pandemic, the LGU was able to deliver the services to the people. According to her, this kind of meeting helps everyone to be informed of what is happening across the municipality and be more strategic in dealing with the local concerns. For 2021, Mayor Dominguez still asks for everyone's cooperation and discipline as the LGU faces another challenging year ahead.

The POPS cluster of the municipality is composed of eight local councils: the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), Municipal Child Protection Council (MCPC), Municipal Solid Waste Management Board (MSWMB), and Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC).
