Cognizant of the need to address pressing issues relative to the peace and order in the province in the midst of the pandemic, the Pampanga Provincial Peace and Order Council met for the 3rd quarter Joint Peace and Order and Anti-Drug Abuse Council meeting held on August 28, 2020 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

 The discussion centered on the actions taken by the Provincial Government on COVID-19, Peace and Order situation in the province, and the realignment of the Peace and Order fund that would directly address the safety and security of the province while managing COVID-19 efforts. It was also worth noting that the volume of crimes recorded during the Enhanced Community Quarantine period dramatically decreased to almost 50% per PNP report.

Gov. Dennis Pineda mentioned about the increasing cases in the province and encouraged all local chief executives to strengthen their contact tracing measures and strictly implement zoning containment strategy in critical areas to successfully contain the spread of virus.

"The COVID-19 pandemic really brought unparalleled challenges to us especially in governance but with dedication, unity and steadfast commitment, we will get through this stronger", Gov. Pineda said.

The meeting was conducted following the minimum standards on health and safety.
