Representatives of Bataan, Bulacan, and Pampanga attended a 3-day Training on Post-Disaster Recovery and Rehabilitation Management (PDRRM) on August 7-9, 2019 at Terrace Hotel Subic, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.


The activity ought to empower the LGUs in addressing challenges of disaster to ensure business continuity through intensive discussions and workshops.
Factors and issues affecting planning and implementation of local rehabilitation and recovery were identified and presented to the Local Government Units (LGUs). Moreover, LGUs were guided on key actions on how to operationalize the four management functions such as planning, leading, organizing and controlling in the context of post disaster rehabilitation and recovery through a workshop facilitated by DHVSU DRRM Focal Person Rhiziel Manalese.
Various topics were likewise presented by speakers from Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Pampanga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).
LGUs were also given a chance to raise concerns regarding previous disasters such as the magnitude 6.1 earthquake last April 22, 2019 and the buhawi that recently struck Magalang, Pampanga.
