A Solidarity Walk and Peace Covenant Signing: "Ugnayan ng Simbahan at Pulisya" was conducted to ensure a peaceful, honest and clean elections this coming May 2019. It was held in Angeles City on March 7, 2019.


Spearheaded by Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), in partnership with the COMELEC, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DEPED), Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) and Philippine Army (PA), together with the candidates for the House of Representative, City Mayor, City Vice Mayor and City Councilors simultaneously walked around the vicinity of Apung Macalulu Shrine, Lourdes Sur to signify the commitment for a peaceful, honest and clean election.
During the activity, PSupt. Narvin Mangune, PNP City Director reminded all candidates to follow the history of Angeles City with a record of clean and peaceful election. "Kami posa PNP at ibangahensiya ng gobyerno ay umaasanaitutuloyponatinangimahe ng siyudad ng Angeles tuwingsasapitangeleksiyonnatahimik at walangkarahasan"said CD Mangune.
On the other hand, Atty. Rommel Rama, City Election Officer, appealed to the candidates to always adhere to the rules and regulations on the fair election act specially when using campaign materials. "Isa lamangpoang aking pakiusapsaatingmgakandidato, lagiponatingisaalangalangang fair election act samgapanahonngayonhanggangsaaraw ng election" said Atty. Rama.
DILG City Director Martin Porres Moral on his part welcomed all the candidates and ensured them that the Department will continue to perform general supervision over Local Government Units. "Kami posa DILG ay patuloynagagampananangamingtungkulinupangmasiguroangserbisyongkinakailangan ng komunidad ay maibibigay ng atingmga Local Government Units" said CD Moral.
Candidates simultaneously recited and signed the Integrity Pledge to seal their commitment in a Peaceful, Honest and Clean election. The activity concluded with the release of doves and white balloons symbolizing peace and unity.
