A total of 21 Local Government Units commit to specify objectives in their adoption of Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in bringing forth “Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Pamumuhay” at Kingsborough International Convention Center, December 06. `

DILG Pampanga, headed by PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, led the event in cooperation with the Provincial Government to call for action to shift communities onto a more sustainable path and establish local objectives.

At the end of the activity, the participants signed a covenant of commitment which served as pledge of full support on the localization of PDP and SDGs.

Global Goals, otherwise known as SDGs, was born in 2012 at the United Nations Conference in Rio de Janeiro to craft a set of universal goals that meet the challenges facing our world today.

Entitled as “Ambisyon Natin 2040”, the National Economic Development of the Philippines developed a national long-term vision which was anchored and aligned with SDGs and represented every Filipino’s aspiration for themselves and for the country.

“…the challenge for LGUs is to make specific plans and objectives aligned to these goals. After the 2019 Elections, I hope that whoever wins will continue to support our advocacies” said PD Fabia.
