"Lahat po tayo ay tulung-tulong dahil sinasabi natin na crime prevention is everybody's concern. Hindi lang ang law enforcement agencies. Ito ay pagtulungan natin kaya ating palawigin pa ang ating kaalaman," said Director Daquioag during her opening message.

The training aimed to capacitate the barangay officials and other stakeholders of the 50 target barangays in Region III that might be threatened by the presence of extremists.

Topics discussed include Threat Assessment and Overall Conflict Mapping in Central Luzon, NAP PCVE in relation to the New Anti-Terrorism Law, Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism, Strengthening Filipino Values and Cultural Sensitivity in the Filipino Setting, Making Intervention in Conflict Areas Conflict Sensitive and Peace Promoting (CSPP), Vulnerable Sectors to Radicalization and Violent Extremism, Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness (CATA), and Barangay at Pulisya Laban sa Krimen (BPLK) where representatives from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Security Council (NSC), Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), and DILG Regional Office III served as resource persons.

The NAP PCVE is the government's inclusive, holistic & whole-of-nation initiative to address the factors that lead to VE conducive to Terrorism. Through Anti-Terrorism Council Resolution No. 38 (2019), the DILG has been designated as the lead agency to ensure the implementation of the NAP.
