The Department of the Interior and Local Government- Nueva Ecija, being the Chairman of the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (IMTF) for Monitoring the Functionality of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) facilitated the table validation on February 5, 2020 at DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.

To sustain the national efforts in the localization of the National Strategic Framework for Plan Development for Children or Child 21, there is a need to make the LCPC functional as the core local institution for child-related programs. The purpose of this table validation is to review and validate the submitted required documents based on its Functionality Indicators namely, Organization, Meetings, Policies, Plans and Budget and Accomplishments and to rate its Level of Functionality as Basic, Progressive, Mature and Ideal being the highest.
LGOO II Maricar Janice C. Perez, Focal Person of LCPC, discussed and presented the Legal Bases of LCPC; Composition and Functions of the local councils; and Functionality Indicators based on DILG MC No. 2008-126 dated August 21, 2008.
The Provincial IMTF is composed of Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino, Chairman; Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer Ms Elvira H. Ronquillo, Vice-Chairman; and the members from PPDO, DepEd Nueva Ecija, NEUST, TALA ng Nueva Ecija and Ako ang Saklay
